ProjectSHINE in Tanzania
23 million people in Tanzania lack safe drinking water, and 4,000 children die each year due to infection from unsafe drinking water. A biosand filter (BSF) is an adaptation of the traditional slow sand filter, which has been used for community drinking water treatment for 200 years.
